Casper Farrimond is a industrious, person-centred, energetic, and passionate professional who strives to assist and guide individuals in becoming their ideal selves. He is a HCPC registered Sport and Exercise Psychologist with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES), a chartered scientist with the Science Council, Mental health aid trained, holds qualifications in solution-focused counselling and have extensive experience working in elite sport, health and wellbeing, and academia (Lecturer in Sports Psychology at the University of Bolton). Most recently, Casper embarked on the exciting journey of pursuing a PhD in dispositional optimism. His initial research focus is exploring how an adolescent athlete’s social environment influences the development of optimism as they transition into adulthood. The long-term focus of the PhD is to develop and test a coach-education programme that aims to educate and guide coaches on how to design short-term and long-term interventions that facilitate the athlete’s development of optimism as they transition from adolescence to adulthood.

MindTap has worked with coaches, teams and international-athletes from several sports providing psychological support and well being advice. MindTap's approach to performance enhancement is to encourage you to become aware of the positive interaction between your thoughts, emotions and behaviours and identify the best approach to utilising your internal resources to optimise your performance level.
